Finding a job you absolutely love can be a challenge, especially if you're looking for your first job. Our "Off The Clock" series originated because we know that working an hourly-paying job doesn't always relate to one's true passion. You can try to incorporate the two. For example, working in retail if your long term goal is to be a designer. Or working at a music store if you want to be a rock star someday. However, combining your job and your dreams isn't as easy as it sounds.
That's why we wanted to surprise an hourly worker with the opportunity to pursue his aspiration. Meet Carlos. He is an employee at Buffalo Wild Wings in Prescott Valley, AZ. Ever since he was young, his dream has been to be a pilot. We surprised Carlos at work and took him off the clock for the day to fly all around (or should we say over) the city including the Grand Canyon. He even received $1,000 towards flight school to jump start his passion!
We encourage you to not feel like you have to choose between work and your passion. Do both. Allow work to support your long-term goal, whether that be merging the two together or using your job to finance your passion. Take advantage of your free time and use it to follow your dreams. Stay positive. Stay ambitious. Snagajob believes in you.
