Our judges have poured through 800 video submissions for this year’s Hourly Gig contest and have narrowed it down to the top five finalists! The final winner will be in your hands. The public will be able to vote between August 22 – 29 and the winner will be flown to Denver, Co to be the opening act for country music star Chase Rice. Pretty big stuff.
But, who are these finalists? We put together a profile so you can get to know them a little better. Then, make sure you go vote here.
Jennifer and Trey make up the Nashville duo, SmithField. While working part-time jobs, the group’s number one priority has always been music. After growing up together in Texas they now share a common goal of breaking into the music industry, and their blend of voices and spot-on harmonies have been making waves in the country-music scene.
A police Sergeant from New Jersey, Scott splits his time between law enforcement and pursuing his passion of music. His blend of country-rock is energetic, accessible and above all, authentic. This self-described go-getter recently released his debut album, A Whole New Kind of Crazy.
A property manager and boat captain from Rhode Island, Will’s first solo release landed him in Entertainment Weekly as being right on target for the “Bullseye of the week”. His live performance features his impressive looping skills, combining his drumming background with an energized acoustic style.
A Tulsa, Ok native, Adley was featured on NBC’s “The Voice” and has since launched a hair accessory line, web series and is working with music professionals to break into the industry. Both of her latest musical releases have broken the iTunes Top 40 Country Charts and she hopes to inspire other musicians trying to independently make a name for themselves.
Growing up near Nashville, Jill has always known she was meant to be a singer/songwriter. She released a debut EP, ‘Shame on Me” last year and it landed in the Top 30 iTunes Country charts. Jill has been working with musicians all over the country while finishing her next album being released later this year.
You can vote as many times at you’d like at www.TheHourlyGig.com, until noon on August 29. Good luck to all our finalists!
