Our company is seeking a detailed leader to serve as the security guard for our busy location. On a daily basis, the security guard will be responsible for patrolling the grounds, surveilling security cameras, performing safety checks and responding to calls from employees and visitors. Typical duties include:
Patrol the area to ensure safety and security
Authorize all visitors and guests and stop unauthorized persons and trespassers
Secure access points and entryways
Maintain rules and regulations and address visitors who break them
Watch surveillance cameras to identify out of the ordinary happenings
Investigate suspicious activity and report suspicious behavior
Maintain communication with company leaders
Respond to requests for service
Keep a detailed log of daily duties
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of local and federal laws
Experience with technology, surveillance equipment and security systems
First Aid and CPR Certification
Surveillance skills and observation skills
Security Officer License
High school diploma or GED
Previous experience as a security guard
The average pay for security guards is $13.72 per hour.
