Sign and Large Format Digital Operator

He or she must have an understanding of digital copiers, including their functions and processes, an aptitude for math and a strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow instructions for machine set-up and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Large Format Lead Operator you will be responsible for producing and finishing high quality print work using a variety of equipment. The key day-to-day tasks will include:

• All large format printing and finishing work
• Setting and operating large format printing and finishing machinery including our HP Latex printers, Mimaki CG-130 Cut Vinyl Plotter, PVC Welder, and wide format laminator
• Working on a wide range of substrates
• Maintenance of equipment
• Ordering materials and maintaining inventory.
• Consulting with sales team regarding projects and material recommendations.

Key attributes required:

• Experience setting and operating large format finishing equipment
• Excellent knowledge of large format graphics and materials
• Strong technical understanding of substrate properties
• Experience of installation and fitting of graphics and signage – on-site experience would be considered advantageous
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa)
• Able to work under pressure and output high volume, high quality work
• Able to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Able to use light power equipment
