Alteration Specialists has openings for a master Tailor/ Master Seamstress, who can work in a high pace, highly skilled environment.

Named, New York's most genius tailor by Vogue. We're looking for bright, driven, and hardworking people who believe in Alteration Specialists =mission. As we provide the highest quality tailoring, coupled with delivering a first rate experience to all of our customers. The prospective candidate will be responsible for

• Must having excellent sewing skills

• Knowing which garments can/cannot be altered and understanding different fabrics/styling

• Presenting a pleasant and positive attitude to the customers

• Strong understanding of both men’s and/or women’s alterations, fittings, & garment composition.

• Must know how to take measurements

• Be accurate and productive in marking and pinning.

• Knows how to use all types of marking tools (rulers, hem markers &…)

• Experience operating on industrial sewing machines

Compensation

• Compensation is the most competitive for this position . We pay significantly above market rate.

Required Qualifications

• Proven success in alterations and tailoring

• Highest level of professionalism and work ethic

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience

Across: New York City.
