The Professional Services Consultant - Automation, is an integral part of our mission within our Professional Services team. As a Consultant, you will provide onsite and/or remote deployment and configuration expertise relating to Palo Alto Networks solutions. You will function as the products Subject Matter Expert and will interact directly with the customer's personnel and project teams providing leadership, technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives to our best practice deployment methodology. This is a highly technical, hands-on role and you will develop and maintain expert level skill sets on our products and solutions.
You will integrate Palo Alto Networks products into customer’s public cloud environments leveraging industry standard automation and orchestration technology.
You will a expert in Terraform and/or Ansibile. You will keep our modules up-to-date and help customers adopt and customize our Terraform IP.
You will develop and release open source software to help our customers and partners employ best-practices automation.
You will become an expert in our cloud-native security reference architectures and help customers implement those architectures in their public clouds.This includes Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and other leading cloud platforms.
You will assist customers in the design and implementation of automation and orchestration workflows for their Palo Alto Networks products. You will become an expert in CI/CD patterns appropriate for public cloud platforms.
You will be the automation expert in a team of network security experts.
You will help customers realize the full value of their Palo Alto Networks products by architecting automation solutions for the deployment and management of the products.
Travel (25%, post Covid) to customer site architecting and deploying Palo Alto Network solutions.
Experience with at least one public cloud offering from Amazon, Google or Microsoft is essential.
Experience developing Terraform is important. Experience with other provisioning infrastructure tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet is helpful.
Experience establishing full CI/CD stacks is essential. This should include Continuous Integration application pipelines including code checkout, app build, app deployment and testing.
Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code design patterns and tools is important.
Experience with Python is important. Experience with Go is fantastic.
Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker is very helpful.
Understanding of cybersecurity technologies, protocols and applications.
Experience deploying and maintaining large scale networking, firewall or security solutions in enterprise environments is important. Experience with Palo Alto Networks® is very helpful.
