Manual/CNC Lathe & Vertical Milling Machinist - Mount Vernon, New York

We are looking for a Manual/CNC Lathe & Vertical Milling Machinist to join our dynamic team.

Duties

1. Turning
2. Milling
3. Drilling
4. Taping
5. Deburring
6. Polishing
7. Programming
8. Set-up
9. Inspection

• Utilize sanding instruments and polishing wheels on unfinished and finished metal (Titanium & Stainless Steel) surfaces to correct defects, smooth, prepare and polish surfaces.
• Fulfill the operations necessary to make machined products to satisfy production specifications.
• Wash polished parts to remove cutting and polishing compound.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years machine shop experience is a must
• Read blueprints
• Work with measurement equipment (such as calipers and micrometers)
• G-code programming is a must
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

Our machinery is Hass, Hardinge and Rofin, CNC lathes, vertical milling machines, laser welding and laser marking. We also have Hass & Bridgeport manual lathes and milling machines.
