    Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with rotating weekends


    Assists the Manager of Internal In-patient Support Services with handling the emergent needs of hospice patients in the In-patient Unit (IPU) setting, as well as providing optimal customer service to the client.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Proficient in using Fortis and its various functions to assist with profiling and communication issues at hand, forwarding non-IPU faxes to the appropriate department, sending a copy of a fax via email when necessary.
    • Capable of interpreting faxed physician orders appropriately with minimal to no supervision.
    • Has good knowledge of brand and generic drug names.
    • Familiar with excelleRx Medication Use Guidelines® and able to designate the appropriate MUG status of commonly prescribed hospice drugs.
    • Builds and maintains accurate IPU patient profiles on the IPU-MAR Builder and the Active profiles.
    • Calls and verifies fax receipts, documents nurse name appropriately and triages issues to the pharmacist when necessary.
    • Able to recognize each IPU Model and can apply IPU’s service and profiling specifics appropriately.
    • Adheres to all IPU and MMSC policies and procedures.
    • Able to perform at established IPU goals while maintaining profile accuracy and call quality.
    • Assists with training and educating staff on the IPU process and protocols when needed.

    Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Excellent written, verbal communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
    • Self-motivated
    • MUG-certification preferred

    Education and/or Experience

    • 3 months of call-center experience preferred
    • Must be in good standing following Company requirements
    • Must work in-office
    • Must have schedule flexibility
    • Highschool diploma or equivalent

    Computer Skills

    • Strong windows based computer skills
    • Proficient in Xeris and Fortis

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • CPhT or obtained within one year
