This Engineering CAD Tech will be working primarily in the standards and specification dept. They will be working on specification drawings for construction and new equipment. There is currently 6-8 people in the Standards team now, from designers, Eng, Supervisor. This person will be the sole CAD Tech supporting this group. 100% of this work will be within CAD in the office. They will be working with the Design and GIS team to ensure the library and standards specs are accurate and updated properly. Education: Candidates dont have to have a degree, but it always helps. If they have a CAD certificate, or Associates that's OK. Tech Questions: -Experience working in CAD, what data were you pulling, how were you documenting the data/sharing it with team members? -What is your exposure to CAD, how frequently were you using it, for what? -What software have you worked in? experience extracting data and inputting into a new system. Urgency/ why open? -The past 7 years they have had these responsibility's split up between 2-3 designers consistently. What they've realized is they need 1 designer to have full ownership and responsibility of these documents so it doesn't take away from production design. They need this person to start end of January so they can have the specs and standards in place for their busy season in the summer. This will be a 12 month contract, that will/can renew every year indefinitely. They have the work for easily the next 5-10 years, but at this time don't want to commit to a CTH.
