Aerospace is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to manage and implement traditional Occupational Safety, Fire Life Safety, and Emergency Preparedness programs. This includes fall protection, electrical safety, LOTO, contractor safety, injury investigation, emergency planning, fire protection, life safety, fire systems inspections and maintenance, and others as assigned by the EHS Director. The candidate will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing the Occupational Safety, Fire Life Safety, and Emergency Preparedness programs for the site, regionals sites and lend support Enterprise wide. The selected candidate will report directly to the EHS Director and will have one direct report. This position is remote during COVID, but will need to move to Chantilly VA upon normal non -COVID business operations. Key Functions bull Assists in training personnel regarding environmental, health, safety matters, regulations and EHS awareness programs bull Development and implementation of strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement Responsible for planning, implementing strategy and overseeing EHS staff. bull Develop and implement EHS policies and Aerospace Work Instructions (AWI's) bull Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Fire Life Safety and EHS programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation bull Interfaces with regulatory representatives, senior management, and the Emergency Response, and Crisis Management teams bull Investigate injuriesincidents to determine root cause and develop corrective actions and track to completion bull Investigate and resolve fire life safety and EHS issues, questions, or concerns received from within the company, among outside customers, regulatory agencies, etc bull Respond to emergencies that require either an evacuation, shelter-in-place order, or lock down Qualifications Required bull 8 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree bull Experienced with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI Standards bull Experience with environmental, health, and safety best practices, standards, and methodologies bull Responsible leadership experience in management, supervisory, or team lead bull Technical background with Safety program management and compliance bull Intermittent traveling is required under normal non-COVID circumstances bull This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance issued by the U.S. Government. ship is required.
