This position is within the Fusion Engineering team of Equipment Solution Division, MKS Instruments. Specifically, this team designs the embedded controller as a platform to drive all the products within Equipment Solution Division. We are looking for an exceptional Senior FPGA Engineer who can be a design and development lead to support existing and future products by performing the following duties. FPGA code developmentmaintenance, module and system level simulationvalidation, and in system verification Troubleshoot mixed signal circuit designs at the PCB level (FPGA, AD, DA, amplifiers, sensors, etc) Work with a cross functional team to determine design requirements, parameters, and success criteria Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications Work collaboratively with all organizational functions Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results Consult with customers and field service personnel concerning field issues of performance and reliability Complete complex tasks on schedule with minimal supervision while delivering quality output Uses computer assisted engineering design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs Other duties may be assigned What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity is, a B.S. or higher degree in one of the following fields Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of increasing responsibility within an electrical engineering or embedded team. Required Skills and Abilities Experience of full engineering development cycle from requirement to deployment Extensive FPGA firmware development experience using VerilogSystem Verilog Experience debugging FPGA designs with industry simulation tools such as ModelSim Design for hardware validation, including BIST System level design, integration, and testing experience Familiar with digital controls theory Lab equipment experience (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.) Strong problem solving skills and accountability to drive issues to closure Ability to succeed in a fast paced, technically challenging, and multi-disciplinary team environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Source control experience Excellent with standard office applications (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to travel internationally in support of ESI system installations and applications. Requires appropriate work authorization to freely enter and exit primarily Asia Pacific countries. We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
