SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION: The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Policy (INDPOL) seeks to ensure robust, secure, resilient, and innovative industrial capabilities upon which the Department of Defense (DoD) can rely to fulfill Warfighter requirements. INDPOL is the principal advisor to the USD(A&S) on all matters related to the defense industrial base, including developing DoD policies and procedures; providing advice associated with the health of the industrial base; improving industrial capabilities to meet planned, ongoing, current and future defense requirements; conducting antitrust reviews of mergers, acquisitions, teaming, and joint ventures; monitoring financial markets; reviewing the national security impact of foreign ownership of U.S. industrial facilities; and preserving essential industries and technologies and other industry and program activities. Program Administration tasks include activities that directly support the Director and Deputy Director of the DPA Title III program, such as meeting scheduling, email and telephone communication with program stakeholders, correspondence, and task tracking. Support will involve a wide range of activities, to include: * Collect and track tasks assigned to the DPA Title III program * Update and maintain task and correspondence trackers(s) for the DPA Title III. * Conduct email and telephone coordination with DPA Title III program stakeholders * Organize and execute stakeholder meetings (virtual or in-person). * Draft correspondence products such as letters and briefings for Government and non-Government audiences * Draft Congressional response products such as informal Requests for Information and formal reports * Develop outreach or education material on the DPA Title III program such as briefings, information papers, and talking points to support DPA Title III outreach efforts SKILLS & EXPERIENCE The following skills and experience are required for this position: * Must have minimum of a SECRET clearance. * Works under general direction; experience serving as the primary interface and point of contact with client program authorities and representatives on technical and program issues. * Prior experience supervising program and project operations. * Prior experience advising at senior levels in both client organizations and the parent corporation. * Demonstrated ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to solve uniquely complex problems. * Demonstrated ability to identify and/or design alternative solutions to problems, processes, or procedures; to analyze and provide recommendations on the impacts and effects of alternative solutions or courses of action. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE * Prior experience and/or knowledge of government contract acquisition processes * Prior experience and/or knowledge of DoD Industrial Policy EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Advanced degree in a discipline relevant to the position plus at least five to seven (5-7) years of relevant professional experience; or bachelors degree plus at least nine to eleven (9-11) years relevant professional experience.
