WANTED: An experienced Business Development Executive with demonstrated experience supporting Law Enforcement customers.
As a Business Development Executive you will:
Developing and taking ownership of an account strategy for growth and subsequently executing that strategy to win new business in the Law Enforcement segment with emphasis on Departments of Justice (DOJ) and Departments of Homeland Security (DHS)
Ensure that AMERICAN SYSTEMS is viewed as a key partner and viewed favorably in the eyes of both the customer and teaming partners
Lead teams to develop and deliver on a pipeline of opportunities that align to AMERICAN SYSTEMS' Strategic Solutions
A week in the life of the Account Executive:
Focus on components within the Departments of Homeland Security and agencies within the Departments of Justice
Prospect for potential business opportunities within the account.
Overseeing the development and execution of customer call plans for the identification and cultivation of opportunities and assessing competitive landscape
Identifying opportunities with high Pwin potential, qualifying opportunities, and working with our capture and delivery teams to win
Developing and briefing bid/no bid recommendations, pursuit and capture strategies for new business opportunities
Delivering presentations and communicating to internal and external audiences and participating in industry associations (AFCEA, ACT-IAC, HSDBC, etc) to cultivate brand awareness
Shaping acquisition strategies by leveraging client relationships, company capabilities and experience, partners, and contracting vehicles.
Managing responses to government market research inquiries (e.g. RFIs, Sources Sought Notices, etc.), attend industry events, and participate in thought leadership initiatives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of demonstrated success identifying, qualifying and helping organizations win contracts >$30M
Prior experience selling in the Federal arena with experience selling to DHS or DOJ and direct experience working with USCIS, CBP, ICE, FBI or 2 other agencies preferred
Requires a thorough knowledge of DHS and/or DoJ, the prospective clients, the market, competitors and potential teaming partners.
Proven experience building relationships with strategic teaming partners (prime and sub)
