    Summary We are seeking a Controller to handle all internal accounting operations of the company, including the issuance of financial reports, maintenance of a system of accounting records, and development of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).The Controller will work very closely with Department Directors to streamline reporting efforts, and several other ad hoc projects directly related to the integration and continued organic growth of the organization. The Controller position requires excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication, organizational, and computer skills, as well as the ability to exercise professional discretion and discernment, independent judgment, and business acumen. Competitive candidates will offer experience and skills related to Complete financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Month-end and year-end closing Creating a comprehensive set of internal controls to mitigate risk Cash management Essential Duties Responsibilities Manage and participate in the execution of all areas of the accounting department including budgeting, cash management, financial reporting, billings, collections, accounts payable, and expenses As a member of this small department, the Controller is responsible, in a hands-on manner, for all Accounting activities Drive the month end close process, including reconciliations and consolidation. Ensure all activities have been recorded, accounts reconciled and reporting on a timely basis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Provide assessment and recommendations on accounting and financial transactions. Monitor and ensure compliance that all statutory returns and filings are completed and filed on a timely basis in local countries. Create, document and continuously improve all accounting processes for which the Accounting team are responsible Manage the daily detail of the annual financial audit Review critical components of annual budgets with operational leaders participate in the final approval of annual budgets by the CFO Manage financial records Preparation of monthly financial statements, gross profit analyses, and other financial reports Review and provide input to management of financial performance of each department and total office on a monthly basis comparing budget and office goals Perform various financial analyses on projects assigned by management team Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets Participate in the development of the strategic business plan Analyze spending and assist in cost control Assist with preparation of related tax returns and associated reports such as property, payroll, and salesuse taxes Represent organization as liaison with outside accountant, auditors, banks, and attorneys Assist with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting Department staff carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies Competencies Self-motivated and results driven with strong multi-tasking skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across departments High affinity for technology Advanced Excel skills Attention to detail and consistent accurate work product completed per time constraints as necessary Strong organizational skills Confident with clear and direct communication skills, both written and verbal Energetic and dedicated Flexible to complete work as required with some evenings or weekends possible Strong technicaltransactional knowledge and experience Understanding fiduciary responsibility of the position and protecting shareholders Minimum Key Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
