The Henry & Rilla White Youth Foundation, a non-profit human services organization, is seeking a masters-level counselor to work in the Gainesville, FL area serving DJJ Circuit 8. The Foundation was recently awarded a 3 year contract with Department of Juvenile Justice. The Program will include screening, evaluating, treating, and case management of youth referred by the Department of Juvenile Justices. The position will begin as a part time contracted employee. Willingness to work in other areas could increase the positions available working hours.
Counselors will receive comprehensive initial and ongoing training in the Trauma Focus- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as weekly clinical supervision with a licensed supervisor and weekly consultation with a TF-CBT expert for a minimum of 6 months.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include: Masters Degree from an accredited college or University in counseling, social work, psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy or related field. Training and experience in cognitive-Behavioral therapy, structural family therapy, and other behaviorally-based treatments are preferred (but not required).
