POSITION OVERVIEW
Alarm.com is a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial technology company. We are seeking ambitious, hardworking, recent college graduates with strong academic qualifications, proven experiences in a competitive team environment, and diverse interests to join our Management Development Program.

Our Management Development Program (MDP) is designed to develop recent graduates into Alarm.com's future business and technology leaders. MDP Associates will have a broad range of responsibilities that will help build their experience base and abilities. MDP Associates are exposed to several areas of the business throughout the program and will report into different departments and managers. The program lasts 2-3 years, at which time the MDP Associate will transition to a permanent position that best aligns with his or her interests and abilities. MDP Associates are encouraged to assume significant responsibility early on and work closely with Alarm.com senior management on strategic projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Example MDP rotations:  Our rotations are fluid experiences and take into account MDP Associates career goals and business needs.

  • Product Management – bringing new products to market by writing specifications for the engineering team, gathering feedback from customers, interacting with industry partners, managing beta programs and developing documentation.
  • Account Management – managing relationships with strategic clients, offering technical and sales support, and assessing new business opportunities.
  • Program Management – managing all aspects of long term engineering and product development projects including schedules, resource allocation, new tools or technology required, and relationships with outside vendors and partners.
  • Business Operations & Strategy– working with function heads and executives on a variety of corporate projects which ensure successful day to day operations of the company and lead the company into new business ventures, partnerships, and product endeavors. Operations and Strategy projects involve close interaction with the CXO team, Supply Chain, Finance, Global Business Development, and Strategic Planning teams.
  • Marketing – developing strategy and supporting materials to communicate new products and features to existing and potential resellers and customers.
  • Technical Support—solving challenging technical issues and educating clients and customers on how to use our technology, working with engineering and management to prioritize feature enhancements, and continuously advocating for our customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • B.A. or B.S. (or higher level degree) from a competitive school with strong academic performance
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter with ability to deliver results
  • Project/Product or Program management exposure
  • Strong technical, quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Leadership and business acumen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in consumer technology
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
  • Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens & Permanent Residents
