ABOUT THE POSITION
This is not your typical moving position - we hire based on “soft-skills” as well as physical strength. Most of your day as a Mover Driver is exactly what you’d expect. But at Managed Moves, you and your team will go the extra mile to serve the needs of our clients. As the driver/mover, you will not only make sure the client has a comfortable place to rest during each stage of the move, but also help clients settle in at their new home by performing tasks such as setting up and making the bed and ensuring that all boxes are in the correct rooms for easy unpacking. The driver is responsible for working efficiently with their team and proactively solving problems when the need arises.
2+ labor experience
1+ years delivery or truck driving experience
21+ years old (for insurance)
Healthy lifestyle enabling you to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50lbs)
Clean criminal background in last 5 years and clean motor vehicle record
Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle strongly preferred
Ability to obtain an ODOT medical card
Due to our very specific and sensitive clientele we require the following from our team members:
Excellent communication skills and a calm demeanor, even in stressful situations
Good at developing a compassionate rapport with the client to instill trust and convey competence
Confidence using a smartphone, online calendars, and productivity software such as Slack
Solid basic math skills and attention to detail to accurately complete client paperwork
CLASSIFICATION & COMPENSATION
Starting at $16.00/hr. After first 30 days, eligible for driver training. Increase to $16.50/hr after first 90 days. Increase to $17.50/hr after successful completion of driver training and certification.
Daily + weekly overtime pay
25-45/hrs a week during business hours from Monday – Saturday from 8am-7pm
