          Responsibilities

          Throughout the internship, you will have the chance to work with our internal teams on the assigned projects, meet with upper management to reflect on your personal and professional development, and socialize with your fellow interns during outings/activities.

          Internship Overview:

          This Summer internship is for our Human Resources Department. Located in our McLean, Virginia Office.

          Guidehouse is looking for an HR Intern to perform various tasks and support our HR department's daily activities.

          If you're interested in kickstarting your career in HR and getting a closer look of how our company approaches payroll, recruiting, HRIS and employee development, we'd like to meet you.

          Ultimately, you will assist in organizing and coordinating our HR policies and procedures.

          As an intern your responsibilities will include:

          • Onboarding new employees
          • Maintaining HRIS records
          • Assisting within the resolution of employee relations issues
          • Providing support in meetings, which includes planning, material creation/collaboration, scheduling, communications, and facilities
          • Assisting with written and verbal employment authorization requests
          • Assisting leadership in managing performance

          As a Guidehouse HR intern, you will gain skills and experience in:

          • Understanding the business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective
          • Obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the business and its needs and translate business opportunities into key HR imperatives


          Qualifications

          Required:

          • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
          • Minimum Degree Status Required: Graduating with an undergraduate's degree between December 2021 and June 2022

          Desired:

          • Knowledge and understanding of human capital principles
          • Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
          • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
          • Heightened attention to detail
          • Ability to view problems from multiple angles and apply a variety of solutions to solving them
          • Ability to participateactively in discussions and meetings
          • Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills
          • Desire to support HR Operations
          • Passionate about reinvesting in the company you work for and representing the company's brand
