Responsible for assisting and supporting meat team projects to successfully complete a high volume of Research and Development tests daily Will work closely with the principal scientist, meat scientist, microbiologist and sensory specialist to ensure test samples are successfully produced in the lab each day Accurately weigh and measure ingredients as required for testing Mix and blend meat ingredients to create sausage, poultry, and beef samples including deli meats-turkey, ham, roast beef and more Cook off meat products and prepare to sample size required for laboratory testing, for the sensory team, or for samples to be sent to the customer Assist with data collection Assist with machine set-up for testing and machine breakdown-moving of heavy equipment, cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment Organize and conduct inventory of the lab, request supplies for the lab when needed Follow timelines needed to prepare product samples, SOPs, GMP, and safety procedures for the lab
