The candidate will need a strong knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authorities (CA). DEA needs to update their current CA infrastructure from MS Server 2008. One of the responsibilities would be to evaluate the current infrastructure and recommend improvements for the upgrade. Candidate needs experience in large scale deployment of Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards. DEA has already deployed PIV to the enterprise. Some of the challenges we need to solve is removing passwords from the enterprise. Integration of Personal Identity Verification Interoperable (PIV-I) and derived credentials into the enterprise. Developing a plan to have Single Sign On (SSO) across the enterprise. Some of the challenges DEA faces with PIV integration are: 1. Issuing PIV cards to foreign users. We need to develop a solution for getting cards issued and delivered to those users. 2. Allowing other smart cards issued by DOD to be used to authenticate users onto the DEA network. 3. Using smart cards to digitally sign documents. Candidate will be asked to develop a road map of implementing technologies and be able to provide briefings to senior DEA leadership. The candidate will need to have a strong knowledge of Microsoft systems such as Active Directory, Windows Server and Windows 10. Candidate will have extensive knowledge of troubleshooting and optimizing smart cards integration for a large enterprise network.
