The Trudeau Center has been a Warwick landmark since the early 1960's. We were born out of a necessity and belief that people with disabilities should be allowed full citizenship within their own communities. Arthur & Evelyn Trudeau along with a legion of supporters tirelessly sought to create services such as special education, recreation, and vocational training. Today our comprehensive services include Early Intervention, Pathways Strategic Teaching Center's school for children with autism, enhancement of daily living skills and community participation through Community Support Services & Home Based Children Services, assorted work opportunities through Day Habilitation & Supported Employment, choices of where to live in Residential & Community Living, Recreation & Leisure Services, & Respite and Family Support ensure our commitment to family involvement & participation.
Special Education Teachers will assist in the development, refinement, and maintenance of behavior analysis educational and treatment programs, under the direction of the program Director, Director of Special Education or designated Behavior Analyst. Implement and supervise the implementation of such programs by lead teacher assistants and teacher assistants. Assist in trainings, monitoring of treatment integrity, and program evaluation. Facilitate student transitions into the program, within the program and from the program to other educational settings. Providing consultation and educational opportunities to the community under the direction of supervisors.
