Cyber Security EHR Engineer
Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized information assurance. Analyzes information security requirements. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work-flow, organization and planning. Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration and integration of information systems.
Attend Design Session meetings
Connectivity Implementation - Generation and verification of PPSM worksheets, Whitelist worksheets, NAT IP requests, coordination with VA and submission of required tickets and board approvals. Tracking and coordination of implementation schedules with technical teams, PMs, boards, and test teams. Maintaining schedules, meetings, and notifications for submission and approval.
Connectivity Planning – Identification of ports, protocols, and services; obtain required IP addresses and locations; coordination and identification of firewalls, required ticketing, and planning for implementation timelines
Connectivity Testing - Plan, coordinate, and document connectivity test events working with DHA, VA, Cerner, LPDH, Cerner PMs and stakeholders to plan and execute connectivity and encryption/certificate verification for each interface. Maintain and publish detailed event logs, complete analysis and updates for identified connectivity issues, coordinate required changes, maintain schedules and provide status reporting.
JCOIC Support - Direct staffing to support coordination/collaboration between Cerner, VA CDP, VA OIT, VA OIS, and leadership to facilitate required cybersecurity actions specific to authorization and implementation activities to support the full cybersecurity lifecycle. Support meetings, complete technical analysis, maintain updated status and ensure accuracy of information across multiple teams.

Bachelors in IT/Cyber a plus
Security + certification preferred
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Knowledge/experience of CASP, CISSP, CAP Knowledge/experience with NIST 800-53
Knowledge/experience with Ports and protocols, FISMA, PIA
Knowledge/experience of networking/engineering
