Senior Preconstruction Manager (8 + Years Exp.)

The Senior Preconstruction Manager is a high visibility, customer facing role that requires you to be "ON" and ready to deliver results. You will be in the mix of the biggest and best pursuits in the industry. Your job is to secure new business opportunities both with existing and new customers. You must be knowledgeable about mechanical and plumbing systems, pricing, and have technical familiarity with key code and energy concepts. This role requires you to be a spokesperson and brand advocate for the company, as well as a source of technical and financial input. You will source new opportunities, work with the estimating team to cost and price pursuits, and work intimately with customers to win the work. Responsibilities:

• Review and understand all project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate and supervise a team of estimators.
• Prepare and/or review takeoffs for systems.
• Understand project logistics and schedule.
• Prepare bid packages for subcontractors and vendors.
• Work with clients and ensure their satisfaction.
• Constantly monitor the state of the market, knowing which jobs are proceeding and by who, and which jobs are targets.

This is a brief summary description of the duties associated with the position, however, there may be other duties required and assigned by the Senior Executive/VP of this position as deemed appropriate for the role.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8-10 Years of experience in the mechanical construction industry with 2-3 years experience in estimating/marketing/pre-construction.
• Experience leading and assembling mechanical and plumbing bids.
• Experience working on large scale construction projects with leading national general contractors.
• Able to execute a mechanical takeoff. Able to review takeoff by others.
• Able to review and resolve equipment and subcontractor scopes.
• Able to maintain continuous communication with key customers and partners. Able to keep a detailed record of all prospective jobs and make decisions to prioritize projects that best fit our capabilities and needs.
• Can initiate new relationships to develop a broader customer base and in search of new opportunities.
• Outgoing, collaborative, and team oriented.
• Hardworking with 100% follow through.
• Takes total ownership and responsibility for your work.
