Trailer Repair Mechanic

FULL-TIME

$16.55/hr

Starting hourly wage is between $16.55 and $19.05/hour depending on experience.
Ensures all trailers and yard tractors are in working order and are compliant to federal standards.

Duties include:
- Maintains repairs for class 8 trailers and yard tractors.
- Diagnoses problems and repairs all equipment (trailers, yard tractors).
- Performs preventative maintenance.
- Performs DOT inspections and compliancy.
- Meets and maintains safety, quality and productivity standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Schedule

Shift start: 10:00AM or 3:00PM
Shift length: 8.5 hours
Rotate weekends

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen
• Must pass background check
• Can lift 60 lbs
• Must be at least 18+ years old

Heavy diesel truck and trailer mechanic skills At least 3 years of experience working on class 8 trailers. Experience working with air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems. Prior welding and fabrication experience preferred. Tire repair experience (repair, mounting, dismounting) preferred.
