The Controller will handle key responsibilities tied to maintaining our books, generating and ensuring accurate reporting, analyzing data, AR/AP, budgeting, tax compliance and audits.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage all facets of full life cycle accounting practices to include AR/AP, cashflow, balance sheet, Income statements, expenses, and charging costs using job costing methods
· Prepare and record assets, liability, revenue and expense entries, as well as compiling and analyzing account data
· Review and analyze financial statements and summarize overall financial health of the company
· Reconcile all accounts, prepare commission reports and conduct month-end and year- end close processes
· Prepare, review and present monthly financial reports with Executive Management
· Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
· Coordinate and resolve any billing/invoicing discrepancies with vendors or clients
· Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure data integrity
· Manage the payroll process using Paybridge software which includes all new hire enrollment, employee maintenance, and terminations
· Fully comply with all lawful payment and tax regulations
· Ensure compliance with GAAP
· Work with functional business areas to make recommendations that help them develop their annual forecast and budget
· Secure and protect the company’s highly confidential information by performing regular software backups
· Prepare reports for audit and tax purposes
· Continuously research and focus on improving system efficiency and best business practices
· Contribute to various project-based efforts to support leadership.
To Be Successful, You Need:
· 5-8 years of prior work experience as an Accountant
· Excellent understanding of core Accounting principles and strong knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise and/or Advanced
· Experience working with Quickbooks on a Salesforce platform is preferred
· Exceptional organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills are required
· Highly dependable and disciplined professional and team player who knows how to work smart
· Honestly and integrity are essential due to the because of the role’s exposure to highly confidential information
· Must be a highly motivated, team player who is smart and capable of easily learning new skills while always striving to improve processes and make sound recommendations
· Possesses excellent PC skills using MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), with exceptional reporting skills using Excel
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
