    Job Description

    Program Coordinator

The George Mason University Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time Program Coordinator for the newly established Northern Virginia Regional Consortium for Evidence-Based Practice (NVRCEBP), to begin as early as possible in 2021. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.

About the Department: The Department of Psychology (https://psychology.gmu.edu/) is one of the largest departments at George Mason. We have a doctoral program in five areas, including clinical psychology. The clinical psychology program focuses strongly on the intersection of research and practice, and this consortium is a direct reflection of that focus. The NVRCEBP is an externally funded training/research project focused on establishing and maintaining a training consortium for clinicians who work in Community Service Boards in the surrounding region (under the jurisdiction of the Northern Virginia Regional Projects Office). Trainings will focus on evidence-based approaches for maladaptive trauma reactions in children, adolescents, and adults.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the consortium, with the possibility of becoming involved in research support if desired and able. The employee will coordinate and track meetings of the research team and community partnership team, assist in preparation of reports, assist in developing training materials and preparing those materials for distribution, coordinate approximately six virtual and in-person trainings per year, and assist with basic program evaluation and research-related tasks (e.g., preparation and administration of surveys, preparation of IRB materials). The employee will also be a primary liaison between researchers, trainers, and community providers. The position reports to the Principal Investigator for the consortium, Keith Renshaw.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have the ability to work with Microsoft Office and other software, work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, coordinate schedules and plan events, learn and comply with regulatory processes, and handle basic project budgeting.

Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor's degree (or equivalent level of training and experience) in psychology or a related field, demonstrated exposure to or experience in social science research or research in another discipline, and prior experience with budgeting and/or as an administrative assistant.

In a continuing effort to enrich GMU's academic environment and provide equal educational and employment opportunities, we actively encourage applications from all job seekers including members of all groups underrepresented in higher education.

For full consideration, applicants must apply for position number 03046z at http://jobs.gmu.edu by January 27, 2021; complete and submit the online application; and upload a cover letter, resume, and a list of three professional references with contact information. The search committee will begin reviewing applications after January 27, 2021 and continue until the position is filled.
