Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Database Administrator -Intermediate. The Database Administrator will support the Army Human Resources Command (HRC) located at Fort Knox, KY. The scope of this effort is to provide a select range of IT services for specific activities within HRC. The IT services encompass all activities necessary to provide secure enterprise-wide systems sustainment, management, enhancement, development and integration services for the life-cycle administration and deployment functions. DSA will assist the HRC in the goal of meeting the vision of the Army G6 of a secure, standard based environment. Job Duties Under general supervision, designs, implements, and maintains moderately complex databases. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. Competent to work on most phases of database administration, but may require some instruction and guidance in other phases. The candidate should possess the following experience Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools Working knowledge of SSAS, SSIS, SSRS Experience in the development of databases objects including stored procedures, triggers, views and functions Experience with trouble shooting database performance issues including optimization Experience with packaging and delivering database updates for production releases Practical experience with Relational Database Server (RDS) Practical experience administrating Oracle DB or MySQL or SQL Server, etc. Familiarity with IBM CA Datacom relational database management system Understanding of the software development process and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and to respond quickly to change Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills CompTIA Security+ Certification Desired experience includes the following Experience with creating database documentation including ERD s, data dictionaries and architecture diagrams Experience working in an Agile development team Experience with commercial cloud service providers (ex. Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services) Prior experience supporting the Army Human Resources Command in Ft. Knox, KY Required Education and Certifications Bachelors Degree plus 5 years experience (Associates or Technical School with 7 years experience) MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD CLEARANCE this will be verified prior to interview.
