Front Desk Receptionist
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Essential Duties:
· Check in all patients professionally
· Check out patients and schedule next appointment as needed
· Contact patients to confirm appointments, reschedule canceled appointments and follow-up on no-shows
· Responsible for accurate collection co-pays, deductibles, deposits, and balances, as well as verifying all insurance and demographic information
· Collect and correct, as necessary, all patient demographic, insurance, and financial data
· Input new patient information into charts using and ensure completeness and accuracy of information at check-in
· Verify insurance
· Handled high volume incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner and direct calls to the appropriate personnel
· Accurately submit prior authorizations in a timely manner and following up with insurance
· Obtain medical records as requested by the provider
· Collect urine drug screens as needed
· Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting and receptionist area
· Perform other general office duties upon request of management
