Job Description

Integrated Pain Management (IPM) offers a full complement of pain therapies, from highly specialized treatments, to the most sophisticated interdisciplinary pathways and programs. We address one of the most complex and challenging problems in our society, chronic pain. Our center is committed to providing the highest level of patient service. From its inception, our clinicians have placed an emphasis on providing medical services that make sense from the patients' perspective. IPM has disseminated its expertise in pain management by increasing its sphere of influence through geographic expansion and education through publications, lectures and teaching. Our rehabilitation programs for chronic pain sufferers set the standard in holistic approaches for managing chronic pain.

The Clinical Compliance Manager works with IPM's Opioid Board to ensure that all of IPM's policies and procedures related to opioid prescribing, patient management, documentation, quality assurance, safety and clinical outcome standards are achieved. This position will also enforce policies and procedures to ensure that all and federal, state, and local, rules, regulations and standards related opioid prescribing and management are met. They will analyze statistical data, metrics and other information related to opioid prescribing and patient management that could pose risk to the company and report these findings to the Opioid Board.

The Clinical Compliance Manager will monitor and report progress towards achieving program goals and objectives and report these data regularly to the Opioid Board.


  • Manages and coordinates the Opioid Board meetings and activities to ensure an efficient and effective delivery of data, information, and quality assurance related to the Company's Opioid policies are delivered to the Board and Company management;
  • Assumes a lead role, under the direction of the Opioid Board, in the oversight of compliance, training and compliance activities to promote the delivery of high-quality care and safety for all patients who are receiving opioids as part of their treatment plan;
  • Assures that all providers comply with IPM's Opioid policies and procedures, including prescribing, monitoring, documenting and weaning as clinically appropriate and meet all current standards of care.
  • In conjunction with the Opioid Board, develops and maintains a system for measuring and monitoring the MEVs for all patients that are using opioids as part of their treatment plan, specifically, identify and track all patients with a MEV greater than that set by the opioid board as the threshold for monitoring and ensure that all clinical policies, procedures and documentation are in compliance with IPM standards;
  • Develops a monthly reporting process for compliance with IPM standards to the Opioid Board;
  • Assumes responsibility for proactive management of non-compliant providers to improve clinical compliance with IPM standards to ensure a culture of patient safety and risk reduction within the company;
  • Stays current with research and knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations related to opioid prescribing and management;
  • Constantly recommends improvements and adjust internal policies and procedures ensuring IPM's are in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations related opioid prescribing and management;
  • Create, monitor, train and assist with, peer to peer education and training of all providers for ensuring the compliance with IPM's Opioid Policies and Procedures and reducing risk for the Company;
  • Advising and directing the Opioid Board, providers and IPM's Leadership Team in regulatory compliance related to opioid prescribing and patient management;
  • Develops and maintains an image as a key player and professional voice related to opioid prescribing and management issues within the Company;
  • Ensures the company complies with all applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations related to opioid prescribing and management of patients that are utilizing opioids.


  • College degree required.
  • Clinical background - RN, PA, NP, MD, DO
  • 10+ years industry related experience in clinical health care and or healthcare management
  • Ability analyze and organize data to develop meaningful metrics related to clinical outcomes and quality, measures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Clear, concise and persuasive writing and presentation skills
  • Strong orientation to deadline and detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and congenially with employees at diverse levels
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams
  • Capable of motivating and holding personnel accountable in all areas of clinical quality and outcomes
  • Decisive and exercises good judgment under pressure
  • Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload
  • Ability to self-manage effectively and efficiently to achieve individual and company objectives
