    Parker McCay's Medical Malpractice Defense department is seeking a seasoned scheduler. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with scheduling experience to be part of a fast paced department within the firm.

    Position Summary:

    This role supports the delivery of quality legal services to clients as the primary contact for clients, attorneys, and expert witnesses to schedule appointments.

    The ideal candidate will have a pleasant and positive attitude and will perform the below duties while working collaboratively with others within and outside of the department.

    Job Duties:

    The candidate will be the primary contact for clients, attorneys, expert witnesses, etc. to schedule appointments, and will perform the following duties:

    • Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, client meetings and conferences
    • Follow up with assigned attorneys and clients on meeting and deposition requests
    • Respond to requests for changes and reschedules
    • Maximize capacity in the calendar and keep attorneys well booked. Take initiative to go beyond passive scheduling. Use knowledge of cases and common sense to prioritize meetings based on importance and anticipation of upcoming needs
    • Monitor upcoming schedules, confirm meetings
    • Create and send letters related to cases
    • Update case management system with scheduling diaries
    • Coordinate meeting rooms, court reporters, and other items as needed


    • Three or more years of related experience in medical malpractice defense or similar litigation field.
    • Knowledge of litigation process and medical malpractice legal terminology
    • Prior scheduling experience (ideally in medical malpractice or litigation)
    • Excellent computer skills including: using Microsoft Office Suite, strong typing skills, and proven ability to learn new software programs
    • Highly organized, process focused with excellent time management skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent skills in projecting a positive and service-oriented attitude ("whatever it takes")
    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to use independent judgment in a high volume environment
    • College Degree a plus
