We are looking for a Director of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Implementation and Optimization. This position will be responsible for leading EMR implementation of Epic at Erie Family Health Centers and the ongoing optimization of systems. Responsibilities Leads the project management of transition to, implementation and ongoing optimization of Epic within Erie across all domains including clinical, revenue cycle, operations, and business intelligence Leads project implementation team in development of workflows, content, hardware assessment, data conversion and end user training Ensure all project goals are met on time and within budget Partners with providers and other members of the health care teams, to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration and optimal use of the new EMR application. Post implementation assesses effectiveness of systems at department and individual level with a focus on quality, data availability, revenue capture, and provider experience and develops and implements strategies for intervention and optimization Direct the ongoing support, maintenance, upgrades or enhancements of EMR Requirements Bachelorrsquos degree in computer science, healthcare administration management, nursing, business, or related field. Masters preferred 5+ years of relevant experience within a healthcare setting management experience required Experience in a clinical setting andor in clinical systems management required Experience implementing a new EMR or EMR transition required Strong analytic, problem solving, negotiation, issue resolution and facilitation skills Expert level knowledge of EMR applications (Epic preferred) Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across organizational functions and levels and work well within a matrix organization Excellent project management skills, PMP a plus RN or another clinical licensure a plus Current Epic certification a plus
