    Job Description

    Job Purpose The HRIS Analyst is responsible for providing support for core Human Resources software applications used at Jackson. The analyst will serve as a liaison between HRIS and other Business Units to facilitate issue resolution as well as perform simple configuration changes in support of HR software applications. The analyst will develop test criteria and execute test plans, verifying test output to ensure accuracy and integrity of system functionality and data. Additionally, the analyst will create, generate, and maintain reports from HR software applications. Essential Functions Acts as a liaison between HRIS and Business Units to facilitate problem resolution. Processes notifications in the HRIS Analyst inbox. Develops ad hoc reports and generates and maintains monthly custom reports for Business Units. Performs simple configuration changes in HR system applications in support of system maintenance and enhancements. Participates in semi-annual and annual HR system software upgrade projects. Conducts audits of HR system applications for data integrity. Develops test criteria for modifications and enhancements to HR system applications. Develops and executes test plans verifying test output for accuracy and data integrity. Monitors weekly maintenance notes from vendors for HR system applications. Assists in the creation and maintenance of HRIS departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Identifies and maintains lessons learned process to drive continual improvement. Other Duties Provides on-call support as required. Provides support for HRIS Specialist as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs other duties andor projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Working knowledge of HR software applications, theory, and practice. Working knowledge of key HR functions to include Employment, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, and Talent Management. Ability to develop test criteria, build and execute test plans and verify system output. Ability to configure software applications and create and generate reports. Strong analytical skills. Ability to collaborate in a team environment to achieve desired results. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. required. 1+ years experience configuring business processes in software applications, developing test criteria and test plans, and test plan execution and data verification. required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel. required. Knowledge of project management principles preferred. Workday Human Capital Management, Time Tracker and Recruiting experience preferred. Knowledge of other HR related systems preferred.
