          Job Description

          Job Description

          This is a full-time position with help needed Monday - Friday, which we are open from 8AM-8PM. Ability to pick up weekend shifts (9-3PM Saturday and Sunday) or other shifts throughout the week preferred.

          SUMMARY: Initiates, coordinates and executes administrative support for front desk operations medical providers and various business aspects of the medical practice. This includes engaging patients at the front desk, checking insurance, money handling, scheduling meetings, maintaining accurate and organized patient and employee information, while also providing excellent support to patients and co-workers at all times.

          DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

          • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and understanding of basic laws, rules, and regulations in regard to confidential and sensitive issues, including patient record confidentiality.
          • Engaging patients as they come in the building including information collection, insurance checks and money handling
          • Perform opening and closing duties for the building
          • Coordinates calendars and schedules of department personnel
          • Understands basic job descriptions of other department personnel, and assists in coordinating the daily workflow.
          • Maintains supplies and notifies appropriate personnel about low inventory.
          • Assists in development and implementation of department systems, protocols, and procedures as needed.
          • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing.
          • Answers and screens telephone calls in a professional and timely manner; takes accurate messages with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy.
          • Exercises considerable judgment and discretion in handling requests for appointments and telephone calls.
          • Distributes daily internal/external mail and faxes to appropriate supervisors and co-workers.

          QUALIFICATIONS:

          • Familiar with computer usage, specifically PC and Windows program usage.
          • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow independently.
