                      Overview

                      The Division Sales Manager is responsible for assisting in establishing and executing strategic and tactical direction within the assigned area of responsibility while achieving sales and profit goals.

                      Responsibilities

                      • Obtain Food Service volume goals in assigned markets and customers
                      • Selling of company products and programs to Food Service customers. Establishing personal relationships with brokers, distributors and key customers
                      • Planning market business strategies with individual brokers, designated distributors and operators
                      • Training brokers and distributors in the features and benefits of products and services, and introducing new product programs to the market. Training broker in appropriate administrative procedures
                      • Managing sales budgets for assigned markets, including promotional spending, samples, meetings, travel and entertainment.
                      • Working with brokers to insure they understand all Ajinomoto Foods marketing tools and utilize them in an effective manner.
                      • Develop a productive food show booth design and have ability to offer solutions and sell cases to operators in a food show selling environment
                      • Interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, motivating and disciplining brokers and Territory Managers in assigned markets.
                      • Managing the profitability of assigned customers and territory
                      • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company


                      Qualifications

                      • Must currently reside in the Seattle or Portland metro area to be considered
                      • 5+ years of progressively increasing sales and broker management experience, selling Foodservice products within the Foodservice Channel
                      • Must have exceptional negotiating and problem solving skills.
                      • Strong computer skills and ability to analyze financial metrics
                      • Capable of teaching and training others in a constructive and positive manner
                      • Organized and systematic approach to work and the ability to prioritize efficiently and delegate responsibilities
                      • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) required with natural ability to deliver presentations
