                Job Description

                Our client in Cranbury, NJ is looking for an Ultra Precision Machinist- 2nd Shift for a 6+ month position.

                Hours are: M-F 230pm- 11pm

                Required CNC programming experience, diamond machinist experience is nice to have.

                Summary

                The Ultra Precision Machinist is responsible for producing optical components and optical component carriers, using ultra precision equipment such as a diamond milling tool.

                1. Set up and operate specified machinery, troubleshoot, and edit programs.

                2. Define and use of correct tooling (diamonds) and determine tool wear and relapping cycles.

                3. Perform quality control of produced parts utilizing specified measuring equipment, identify and resolve quality issues.

                 

                Position Requirement

                • Minimum two years experience as a CNC machinist, previous experience in diamond machining and profilometers (such as laser/optical and contact profilers) preferred.
                • Good interpersonal skills and ability to use a computer with MS a plus.
                • Must be able to effectively work in a team and independently
