Pay based on Experience $21.88 - $26.19

The learning curve long so need dedicated employees that are willing to stay with a company. The ideal candidate can weld carbon steel / Stainless Steel in the 6g position. We are willing to train the right individual however.
This position performs the welding function and prepares machinery for machining, paint and assembly functions. Possesses knowledge of pipefitting/welding/mechanical and light electrical work.
Completion of a vocational diploma in welding, or equivalent training, and/or two years experience. Requires the knowledge of welding and cutting equipment in the Fabrication Department in accordance with specifications from blueprints. Previous pipe welding experience is required. Must possess skills in G.T.A.W., and be willing to complete the qualification process Must demonstrate proficiency in pipe welding with G.T.A.W.
Welds metal parts together according to detail drawings, using G.M.A.W. equipment, G.T.A.W., S.M.A.W. or oxyacetylene. Repairs parts. Performs flame-cutting operations and grinding.
Lays out metal stock, sets up and assembles parts using jigs and fixtures. Sets up and operates sheet metal fabrication and forming machine, to produce parts in accordance with specifications.
Must keep current certification as it pertains to welding operations.
Responsible to select, cut, thread, bend and install piping, fittings, aperture fixtures, valves, gauges, meters, etc. in accordance with requirements and standard practices.
Possesses knowledge of all processes and equipment to advise and assist employees in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting machinery.
Coordinates with Engineering to ensure Engineering Change Requests are submitted.
Ensures that Engineering Change Notices are processed and assembled.
Completes final inspection checklist and inspects equipment for quality. Assists Technical Service with in-house testing of machinery.
Responsible to meet ISO quality standards which require individuals to take responsibility for their own quality, verify their work is correct and then affix their signature to the appropriate documentation, (i.e., drawing, checklist, etc.).
Uses ERP system to enter time spent working on jobs. Follows Company’s requirements to process job in business system. Completes all paperwork.
Visibly supports “lean” and other process improvement activities. Participates in rapid improvement events. Applies continuous improvement practices to one’s job. Supports transition activities, as required. Maintains an open mind throughout the change process. Works with others to continuously fuel improvement throughout the Company.
