Project Manager

National General Contractor seeking an energetic, self-motivated Project Manager to join our project management team serving retail clients. This role is responsible for the oversight of multiple concurrent projects, including tenant fit-out, remodel and ground-up retail and restaurant construction projects.

Requirements & Responsibilities

• 5+ years experience in management of retail construction projects

• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget

• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress, and work closely with project team to ensure all documents, photos and cost reports are timely and accurate.

• Periodically visit the construction site to inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and meet

• Develop construction schedules, identifying trades as well as scheduled overlaps and critical inspection date schedule. Align schedule with city inspectors ensuring we are complete on assigned inspection dates

• Manage communication of expectations for project goals to all internal and external personnel and document actual results.

• Coordinate with client, architect, engineer, superintendent, inspectors, and subcontractors

• Ensure building code and jobsite safety compliance

Knowledge skills and abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with client, subcontractors, vendors and project team

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong analytical thought process with sound judgement and attention to detail

• Strong commitment and dedication to see projects through to the end with limited oversight

• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively explain schedules as well as project scope and expectations

• Excellent construction knowledge regarding process of major project development, understanding trade requirements
