National General Contractor seeking an energetic, self-motivated Project Manager to join our project management team serving retail clients. This role is responsible for the oversight of multiple concurrent projects, including tenant fit-out, remodel and ground-up retail and restaurant construction projects.
Requirements & Responsibilities
5+ years experience in management of retail construction projects
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress, and work closely with project team to ensure all documents, photos and cost reports are timely and accurate.
Periodically visit the construction site to inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and meet
Develop construction schedules, identifying trades as well as scheduled overlaps and critical inspection date schedule. Align schedule with city inspectors ensuring we are complete on assigned inspection dates
Manage communication of expectations for project goals to all internal and external personnel and document actual results.
Coordinate with client, architect, engineer, superintendent, inspectors, and subcontractors
Ensure building code and jobsite safety compliance
Knowledge skills and abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with client, subcontractors, vendors and project team
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical thought process with sound judgement and attention to detail
Strong commitment and dedication to see projects through to the end with limited oversight
Excellent communication skills, able to effectively explain schedules as well as project scope and expectations
Excellent construction knowledge regarding process of major project development, understanding trade requirements
