Responsibilities:
1. Partner with the BU leaders to identify, create/implement people programs and organizational structures/changes that align with business strategies and maximize business performance/effectiveness/productivity;
2. Build, manage and develop a world-class HR team to drive positive employee relations, create and sustain a productive and service-centric HR culture;
3. Identify and proactively defuse risk and potential liability with respect to people management issues;
4. Develop and disseminate local HR policies and procedures to provide consistency in employee relations and in accordance with employment law;
5. Comply and advocate Health, Safety & Environmental programs;
6. Work with managers to create a learning environment at all levels in the organization; skill training, professional development, and continuous improvement should be central to the company’s value proposition for all employees;
7. Coach and counsel functional management as appropriate on all HR and business issues;
8. Drive continual succession planning, talent assessment, and development initiatives across the organization;
9. Identify and execute strategies to improve organizational capability, retention, and other areas of focus;
10. Develop and execute communication strategies to constantly share information about the business, HR programs and offerings, and other relevant information.
