    Job Description

    Data Center Technician ndash Active Top Secret Clearance Location Chantilly, VA Schedule Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM Clearance Requirement Active Top Secret Summary The client maintains four data centers, across two locations, Chantilly and El Segundo. A technician is needed to maintain data center operations which includes racking new servers, connecting power and network cables. The technician will also be required to remove servers and end of life equipment for bond processing. This position will be stationed in Chantilly and support classified and unclassified data centers. The technician will be required to perform the following duties Rack and stack equipment including network switches, servers, storage, and power distribution devices. Connect power cables and work with the networking team to connect network components. Manage requests for new installs and coordinate requirements. Inventory new shipments to verify all components have been received. Perform daily walk-through in the data center and associated spaces to check for alarms in data center equipment. Manage and maintain server and rack location documentation Job specific requirements and skills Active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI access (TSSCI) ndash must pass a CI polygraph, required 1+ yearsrsquo experience working in an IT environment moving and installing computer equipment. IAT Level-2 Technical Certification required within 90 days of hire. CompTIA Security+ preferred Basic level of skills in networking, server sizing and server capacity planning, security hardening, and OS installation. Basic level of skills in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts. Basic level of skills with database, web server, enterprise backup software administration. Basic level of skills with server vulnerability remediation Overall Requirements U.S. Citizen (not dual) SubmitPass a 10-year Dept. of Defense background check, criminal history, drug screening, and fingerprints Valid driverrsquos licenseReal-ID with clean driverrsquos history Applicant must have a strong work ethic, be extremely organized and detail-oriented, be a self-starter with excellent time-management, problem solving, and multitasking skills Applicant must have excellent front-facing face-to-face customer service skills Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (call center, retail, or other customer facing role) Problem solving skills from active listening to, and educating, customers through resolution and a set of delivery expectations Excellent communication skills (in English), both verbal and written, to articulate details in a professional manager Position may require ability to sit, stand, walk extended distances, bend, stoop, squat and lift to 35 lbs. from the floor to desktop for extended periods of time Experience with a ticketing system like ServiceNow a plus Benefits 17 Days PTO (Starting) 13 Paid Holidays 6 Floating Holidays Comprehensive Benefits Package Medical Dental Vision ShortLong Term Disability 401K Plan
