    If you are currently a successful commercial truck sales specialist, you know what the job is, and I am certainly happy to discuss adding your experience to our team.     To be successful in commercial truck sales, you need to be able to partner with the customer, finding the truck solution that will aid in growing their business. Most of your time will be spent out of the office, in front of small and large business owners and their trusted partners, learning their needs. Very realistically it takes months to develop a sale and years to develop the trust of a repeat customer. This is not an immediate gratification sale with a customer walking onto the lot ready to buy, nor is it an emotional decision like you have with cars. Selling commercial trucks is a truly American enterprise as you are providing a means for your customer's business to grow and become more profitable. Be prepared to do a lot of training and thereby making an investment into your future. Success in commercial truck sales is a career around which you can plan a life, if you have the ability to work independently and put in the time.

    In 1961, Dwight Hartman, a small businessman from Harrisonburg, Virginia, traveled to Seattle, Washington, to sign his first Kenworth contract. Now, 60 years since that cross-country trip, Mr. Hartman and his son, Jim Hartman, have signed seven more Kenworth contracts (plus contracts Isuzu), growing Truck Enterprises, Inc. from a small family-owned business, to a large family-owned company featuring eight full-service commercial truck dealerships.
