What youll be doing... Verizons Professional Services develop and deliver custom technology solutions to the global market by creating a digital strategy to modernize their network. This Professional Services Security Assurance Internship which is part of the Verizon Campus Program will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm and learn the practical application of your degree concepts. You will be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive. You will put your degree to use and gain experience in the field through on the job training. In this role, you may have the opportunity to Build, support and maintain methodologies, procedures and processes used to perform security auditsassessments. Participate in digital evidence life cycle, from collection to sanitization. Use a variety of auditassessment tools. Work collaboratively with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) team who support customer engagements. Participate in networking activities with other interns, professionals and business leaders. You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered. Even better if you have Demonstrated strong analytic, communication, leadership and presentation skills. Demonstrated independent thinking, relationship management and attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Previous experience or coursework in cybersecurity or threat intelligence. Knowledge of one or more of the following skills Windows, Linux, TCPIP Networking, Virtualization, or configuration computer operating systems and networks. Technical certifications in networking, security, or a related field such as Network+, CCNA, SANS and Security+.
