The
Billing Manager is responsible for leadership and oversight of billing and
reporting systems.  This includes leading and planning operations,
contract and accounting policy compliance, reporting and analyzing revenue, as
well as staff management and development. This position is responsible
for designing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as
streamlining billing processes. This position is highly visible
internally and externally and requires a strong leader with the ability to
prioritize, plan, and direct the billing team. 

This position is full - time (40 hours / week) Monday - Friday.
Employees are required to work our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal
business hours of (8:00 am - 5:00 pm). It may be necessary, given the business
need, to work occasional overtime and weekends. Our offices is located in La Crosse, WI, Eden Prairie, MN, Falls Church, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee
  invoice preparation and delivery of invoices and reports
• Ensure
  the customer billing process occurs in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor
  the billing system calculations during normal operations and system upgrades to
  ensure the integrity of the process
• Interact
  with customers and program management to establish strong working relationships
• Oversee
  cash application and reconciliation of A / R from ledger to sub - ledger
• Monitor
  funding and outstanding A / R balances and take appropriate actions to manage DSO
• Prepare
  reports and analyses as required in support of the monthly financial closing
  process and contractual obligations
• Plan
  and implement quality assurance for all processes
• Leverage
  technology to add controls and eliminate risk from financial processes
• Oversee
  the implementation of new contracts
• Collaborate
  with Finance and Program Management on contractual and invoice matters
• Lead
  and develop team members, manage workload, training, performance evaluation,
  and building effective teams

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher)·       
  
• 2+ years of progressive experience working within a relevant Billing role or related professional role
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience to include strong leadership skills with ability to develop and motivate direct reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; Microsoft Outlook (ability to create, edit, send correspondence), Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, save spreadsheets) and Microsoft Word (ability to create, edit, save, send documents and integrated accounting systems)
• If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be
  required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app,
  Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or
  similar UnitedHealth Group - approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth
  Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition,
  employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in a service or healthcare industry 
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD - 9, CPT coding
• Experience with contracts and various pricing formats
