SummaryThis position is responsible for customer support as it pertains to the selection, scheduling, delivery, setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual (AV) equipment. This position is a member of the Audio Visual Services team in the Information Services department. This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly ndash generally 40 hours per week), 12 months per year position with benefits. The full job description is available at httpbit.lyAVUpSpec httpbit.lyAVUpSpec Responsibilities Consult with customers to identify AV equipment and related technology needs for classes and events. Schedule, deliver, set up, break down, and return AV equipment. Operate AV equipment during events, including some events on weekends and evenings. Assist customers with recording, streaming, editing, and sharing audio and video. Troubleshoot and resolve issues within necessary timeframes. Proactively identify potential issues and recommend solutions to specific problems. Provide Audio Visual Services related trainings to UP community members. Act as a lead with and provide guidance, support, and training to student employees. Help create and upkeep instructions, trainings, policies, and related materials. Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and service tickets. Help administer Audio Visual Services team processes, including processes related to equipment scheduling software and effective workflow and escalation of service tickets. Participate in the Audio Visual Services teamrsquos rotation of on-call responsibilities and respond to after-hours calls. Requirements Education and Experience Required Two years directly relevant experience. Preferred Associatersquos degree in relevant field. Preferred Bachelorrsquos degree in relevant field. Or a combination of equivalent education andor experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency, knowledge, and skill in the field of audiovisual systems. Effective ability to use and learn computers, technology, software, and applications at level of sophistication required for the duties of the position, including, without limitation, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), the internet, and computerized maintenance management systems. Basic proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe CC, Final Cut Pro, or similar. Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to consistently handle and follow through with multiple projects, tasks, and business processes while meeting deadlines.
