This Manager will oversee projects and the implementation of new technologies and services related to the Network and Telecom infrastructure of the University of Minnesota and its five system campuses. Work with multiple Service OwnersProduct Managers to negotiate priorities and allocate staff resources to meet customer and end-user demands across the service portfolio. Proactively anticipate new technologies and solutions to inform staff development and training and shape recommendations to service owners and senior leadership. Manage configuration, change and release processes. Manage performance and productivity and conduct hiring, staff planning and resource allocation. Cultivate a work environment that fosters high-performing employees and encourages innovation and continuous improvement of technology and services. Provide individualized coaching, guidance and mentoring to team members. Please document qualifications on resume Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience, including leading others, or a comparable combination of education, training, andor experience. Prior experience with vendor and contractor management. Experience in supporting a broad base of users, systems technologies. Experience leading and managing the rollout of data and voice network technologies and IT service methodologies. Knowledge of infrastructure technologies and IT service methodologies. Strong commitment to supporting the University s goal of creating a positive and inclusive campus climate by advancing equity and diversity. Preferred Qualifications SAFe, Lean, or Agile experience. Experience connecting hybrid networks to public cloud providers such as AWS Azure. Experience leading the delivery of new service rollout with technologies such as VPN, F5, Firewalls, and DNS. Experience in adapting SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) capabilities into operational work. Experience working with contractors for project staffing. Experience with communications systems (PBX, VOIP, TDM, DS13, OC312). Experience with network security including PKI, Certificate management, PCI, HIPPA, encryption, and IDS systems. Experience managing VOiP for large user base. Experience managing LAN WAN for large user base.
