About The Role

The successful candidate will learn about business and accounting, and provide basic accounting & bookkeeping support as directed.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

• Learn about Utilitra's business accounting functions
• Assist with bank reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable or receivable functions
• Create, edit, or update spreadsheets
• Provide administrative or clerical support
• Electronic filing, scanning, or indexing as requested
• Cross-train in several facets of Accounting, providing assistance within the scope of training provided
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Accounting classes at the college level; working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
• Strong analytical skills; reasoning and problem-solving ability
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively deal with highly detailed work
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Vista by Viewpoint beneficial, but not expected
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
