Virginia Beach Express, Inc. Pickup & Delivery Driver Job Description

Virginia Beach Express Inc. is a transportation contractor of FedEx providing local pickup and home delivery services in the Virginia Beach, VA market. Territories include - 23451, 23455, 23459, 23456, 23464, and 23452. Full or Part time positions available.

Drivers are responsible for:

• Arriving promptly at 7:30am
• Loading trucks according to designated stops
• Reviewing manifests prior to delivery
• Ensuring timely delivery of all packages to predetermined customers
• Meeting specific time frame windows for pickups
• Keeping in constant communication with Operation Managers throughout the day
• Providing exceptional customer service to our client base
• Dependability and having a positive, professional attitude is a must

Requirements:

• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs or more throughout the day
• Must possess a minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience within the past 3 years, 3 years' commercial driving experience in the past 5 years or 5 years' commercial driving experience in the past 10 years
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Ability to pass an initial and random drug screenings
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card

Compensation & Benefits:

• Depending on experience, $600-$800 per week
• Weekly pay, opportunities for bonuses
• Benefits include health insurance, simple IRA
