§ Assist with assessment of stock/inventory to determine present and future needs, and availability of materials and supplies.
§ Maintain ERP system records of inventory materials and supplies ordered and received.
§ Monitor ERP system inventory reports for usage, cycle times, vendor lead times, inventory adjustments, purchase order due dates, and inventory surpluses.
§ Prepare and process purchase orders for materials as needed to maintain appropriate inventory; maintain ERP system data relating to materials ordered, received and returned.
§ Maintains ERP system of active purchase orders and posts activity such as change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, returns and credits.
§ Assist with administration of existing materials, supplies and vendors in ERP system, and addition of new materials, supplies and vendors.
§ Maintain updated vendor material cost pricing in ERP system; obtain current vendor quotes for updating cost pricing; alert managment of significant cost increases.
§ Assist with prospecting and evaluating new vendors of materials to determine product availability, lead times, quality control, pricing, and sale terms.
§ Build and maintain vendor relationships; monitor vendor product and service quality.
§ Work with all relevant departments to contribute to effective execution of the company’s quality control (QC) requirements and protocols.
§ Administer new materials and/or vendor process according to company policies; prepare and submit documentation required for Engineering and Management approvals; advise vendors of approvals issued.
§ Manage blanket purchase orders necessary for continuous delivery.
§ Provide backup for other departments as necessary and fulfill any other tasks as requested and assigned by management.

Experience and Training*
§ Minimum 5+ years related experience.
§ Knowledge of purchasing and sourcing processes relevant to industrial manufacturing.
§ Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
§ Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
§ Ability to work well with others and contribute to positive team environment.
§ Ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints, including handling additional projects as assigned.
§ Knowledge of customer service and sales process for industrial manufacturing, including international exports and customs shipping requirements.
§ Specific knowledge related to plastics, metals, and casts/molds is preferred.
§ Experience with ISO and other QC programs.
§ Minimum high school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree desired.
