Hamburg S d has been in the international transportation and logistics business for over 150 years. We are expanding our staff due to growth and increased import volumes. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Import Customer Service Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To establish, develop and promote excellent customer service relationships with our customers and Agents.
Monitor the day to day CSR s activities to ensure all calls and e-mails are answered promptly and guarantee information is accurately communicated to customers.

Manage day to day activities for prompt collection of all charges prior to release of cargo.

Assist CSR s and interface with the appropriate personnel in resolving customer issues to minimize customers concerns.

Customer Relationship Management - Develop relationships with accounts and become knowledgeable about their business and markets.

Assist in the development of policies and procedures to provide optimal level of Customer Service.

Serve as the facilitator for Customer notifications regarding port cancellations and vessel delays.

Always maintain the best interest of Hamburg S d North America and provide outstanding customer service.

Job Requirements:
College Degree required

Ocean Import Experience required

2- 5 years Supervisory Staff Experience

Ability to build an effective customer focused team and has experience leading a team to meet customer expectations.

Ability to engage Import Customer Service Representative Staff

Must have fundamental knowledge of containerized shipping industry

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal

Strong analytical skills, ability to extract, compile and analyze data

In-depth understanding of international commerce and shipping processes

Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications.

Ability to be proactive & illustrate initiative in being able to anticipate internal/external customer needs

High Energy and has ability to work under pressure

Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment

Some travel required
