Job Description

Description Technical Writer (VDOPS-20-1958-W): Bowhead is seeking junior, mid, and senior Technical Writers with demonstrated experience writing and editing technical documents. Candidates will possess experience revising or writing standardized material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment. Senior - Five plus (5+) years general experience with Naval Technical Writing Intermediate- Three to five (3-5) years general experience with Naval Technical Writing Junior- One to three (1-3) year general experience with Naval Technical Writing Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Required education, years of experience, and certifications will vary based on position level requirements. • Navy experience is desirable. • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. If the position requires, an applicant must pass a pre-employment criminal background history check.
