I have an exciting Direct Hire opportunity for a LabView Controls Application Development Engineer with a client in Rockville, MD who is an innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing company creating new reconfigurable medicine production systems that enable rapid response when conditions are uncertain and changing.

Seeking expert Labview controls application developers for developing software as part of our automation controls software platform. 

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5000 hours of Labview Development experience
• Experience developing reusable code
• Demonstrated understanding of Labview memory allocation and code techniques with good memory management
• Various techniques for multi-threading in Labview
• Robust error handling and reporting
• Understanding of OOP and inheritance techniques
• A computer science approach to Labview development
• Understanding and demonstrated use of common design patterns
• Strong experience in source code control – preferably Mercurial
• Code validation

Further Qualifications with demonstrated development experience in one or more of the following

• SQL Database interface and Schema development
• Hardware Abstraction
• Analog I/O Transducer signal conditioning and calibration routines
• custom developed REST APIs
• Web VIs and HTTP protocols
• Labview Web Development Module
• Network and bus implementation-CAN, TCP/IP, Network Streams, USB, RS-422/485, Network Shared Variables, OPC
• Auto-Report Generation
• Implementing encryption protocols
• Implementing packed project libraries for plug-in architectures
• User authentication, roles management with User Access Controls
• .NET interfaces
• NIPM
• 21 CFR Part 11 compliance expertise
• Developing Licensed Software applications
